Romanby Golf Club Membership

Now is the time to join Romanby
The club has a thriving membership and provides both social and competitive golf and practice facilities. The practice facilities also extend to the 6-hole academy course (included in the membership fee) and a 12-bay floodlit driving range. Three PGA professionals are on hand to offer teaching and tuition.

Members' benefits
As well as the ability to play competitive golf and hold an official handicap certificate, there are many more benefits of being a member. Advance booking facilities, the ease and flexibility of playing rights and the one-off payment are the main attractions. Discounts in the Country Club also allow you to save a little each
time you visit the club and we are keen to promote club activities.

Like most golf clubs the length and breadth of Britain, visitors also play a huge role in providing financial stability to the facility. This is an area that Romanby is very successful at and through careful tee planning most sectors of the community can enjoy the facilities.

Please use your members advance booking privilege to secure your playing times, similarly a quick courtesy call to the Pro Shop, should you need to cancel your reservation, ensures that your tee time can be re-allocated to another player no matter how late in the day.

Registering at the Pro Shop before you commence your game is essential to allow us to calculate members’ uptake and usage and thus provide the relevant course space. It also helps should anyone need to contact you whilst you are out on the course.

The strong bond between the Club and the Course is cemented by regular management meetings between your Club Captain and the Course Director, both parties are keen to strengthen the Club’s ongoing activities. Help us to help you to strengthen your club. New members are always welcome and your help would be appreciated in bolstering our numbers.

Contour – shape the way you play golf
Contour is an email based news system aimed at all users of Romanby Golf and Country Club, regular offers will be posted in the newsletter for your information. Your 2010 membership card will display the Contour logo on it and you will automatically receive your membership offers through this form of communication. Please make sure we have your correct email address in our records. However, if you do not have an email don’t worry we are planning to post the information on the Club computer situated in the hallway.

To start the ball rolling we are again offering early payment discounts, these always prove immensely popular and can save pounds. In addition we have added Driving Range practice tokens, three £10.00 electric golf car hires, a discounted golf lesson and a £5.00 Brasserie voucher for a Friday or Saturday evening for your use. Maxwell’s of Northallerton have kindly donated a flat screen TV DVD combi worth £250 and early payers will be entered into a prize draw. Call into Maxwell’s on the High Street, Northallerton to see the TV DVD combi on display or visit www.maxwellselectrical.co.uk

For those who prefer to spread their payment we are again offering the direct debit option as an alternative. and for those who are already enrolled on to a Direct Debit scheme you should receive an update letter and no further action will be necessary.

Reinvesting in state of the art ground care equipment ensures that we maintain quality and through a close working relationship with our staff and their acceptance to change in working practices make us one of the most efficient golf courses in the area.
